In addition to patrolling in cars, the Cody Police Department has a bike patrol unit that works during our busy summer season as well as the spring and fall weather permitting. The bike patrol was started in 1998 with the donation of two mountain bikes by a Cody resident. 
Officers Chad McKinney and Toby Brown are presently our two bike officers. In a popular tourist community like Cody, officers have found bikes an easier way to get around the downtown traffic of summer, and at the same time become more accessible to the public we serve. Please feel free to stop and talk to our bike officers when you see them. |
