Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Cody Police Department, in partnership with every citizen, to prevent crime, maintain order and promote a safe environment through problem solving, impartial application of the law and the promotion of trust and mutual respect within our community.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to promote an atmosphere of public trust and confidence in the abilities of the Police Department by being professional, responsible, accountable, competent and fair.

It is an environment in which law-abiding people feel safe within this community, and that if threatened, an appropriate response will be provided for protection and restoration of order.  It is an environment where criminal activity is not tolerated, but vigorously pursued to assure an enjoyable quality of life.
